Tis the Season

We've been busy bees trying to finish Christmas shopping and shipping in order to get ready for our Christmas Vacation to Hawaii. Yep, that's right Hawaii!!! Uncle A is currently stationed there, so we are taking full advantage of his hospitality and are going to visit for Christmas. It will be my first Christmas away from home and I'm a little sad about that, but I'm really looking forward to being in Hawaii!!!! What's even better is Granny and Grandpa are joining us! We're also meeting our cousin E and Aunt F for the first time!! It's been soo long since Uncle A and B-man have been together for Christmas with their parents. So, it's sure to be a special time.

We took some time this weekend though, to enjoy Christmas San Antonio style. We went down to the Riverwalk last night and took a boat ride and enjoyed all of the lights they have displayed for the holidays.

We also went to see Santa! Boo did so good.
At first, he was just sitting there moving his eyes only!
But, they had some jingle bells and that's all it took to get a smile!

I know, he looks less than thrilled in the photos, but he really enjoyed pointing to the "ights" and "boots" (boats). We also enjoyed some ice cream afterwards! It was a perfect outing!
Oh yeah...haircut for Boo is today at 3:40!

This is a little ornament that Boo and I made this week. The picture isn't really that great.
He enjoyed getting his hand painted for this project. If you're interested in doing this craft, let me know and I'll post the lessons learned from our attempts last week!

I don't know if I'll post again before we leave, so if I don't, Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Chuck E Cheese

Last night we went to Chuck E Cheese for our Mom's Club Fundraiser. What an easy way to make money...15% of whatever we bought goes back to the Mom's Club!
Boo had a grand ole time...too much fun to even eat. And if you know our son, you know he LOVES to eat!
B-man and I also had a grand time playing basketball, football, and skee ball.

I know, he needs a haircut. We're going to try to get that done early next week!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to our beloved B-man today! He's a great husband and a wonderful Daddy to Lil Boo. We hope you have a great day today!

A birthday for B-man also means a birthday for Uncle A! So, here's a shout out to you in Hawaii...Hau'olihānau!

Clemson Clenches Atlantic Dvision

As of this past Saturday our beloved Clemson Tigers have won the Atlantic Division of the ACC. They will now face Georgia Tech on Dec 5 to decide who will be the ACC champions this year. It will be a rematch of a game played earlier this year in which Ga Tech was the victor. That game was a HARD fought game and although we lost, we were very proud of how the Tigers pulled it out in the second half. And of course, we're hoping for a different outcome this time around.

We've been trying to get this far for years and the opportunities just slipped right out of our hands year after year. But, not this year!! We were lucky enough to watch the game here on Saturday.

Here's a video of Boo doing the Tiger Rag after a touchdown! He always points his finger...we didn't teach it that way.

Goooooo Tigers!

1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4 C-L-E-M-S-O-N T-I-G-E-R-S!
Fight Tigers! Fight Tigers! Fight! Fight! FIGHT!

Dancing Machine

When BeBe was here we went to Gruene, TX (pronounced Green) to a restaurant called The Gristmill. Gruene is a really cool little town (about 3 streets worth) and the restaurant is really rustic and fun and overlooks the Guadalupe River. Next to the restaurant is Gruene Hall. It's the oldest dance hall in Texas and from what I've heard, it is the dance hall in the movie Michael where John Travolta is dancing with the ladies to Chain of Fools. Remember that?

After supper we walked by the dance hall to get back to the car and well, Boo was struck by the music. He stepped up to the stoop and started dancing.

I just love his dancing!

Busy as Bees with BeBe!

I've kind of been out of the blogosphere for a little while. But I have a great excuse. BeBe (my Mom) came to visit us last week and we stayed busy throughout her visit. Boo was such a good trooper! We had AWESOME weather...70's and sunny during her visit with one rainy day on Sunday. Here are some of the highlights!
Feeding the ducks at the SA Botanical Gardens.
Granny and Grandpa, these ducks weren't aggressive like the ones at Landa Park! :)

The Alamo!

Eating lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Riverwalk.

Our neighbor gave us this cool push car.

BeBe babysat while B-man and I went to SeaWorld to celebrate my birthday.
It really was one of my best birthdays ever!

Strolling through the Japanese Tea Gardens.
Boo was sure to step in EVERY puddle in our path.
Such a boy...just like his Daddy!

On the Rio Taxi on the Riverwalk.
Thanks for coming to visit BeBe! We had a great time and thanks for babysitting!

Happy Halloween Y'all!

We've been busy with various Halloween activities this week; between storytime at the library, multiple playgroups, and of course trick-or-treating tonight Boo had a lot of opportunities to wear his costumes.

At toddler storytime at the library, he was an Arkansas football player. Last year he was a Clemson football player for a Halloween birthday party, so we spread the love this year.

Toddler playgroup with his buddies.
He looks so sad because he's waiting on FOOD!

Did someone call for a doctor?
He's dressed as McCutie, MD this year.

Holding Daddy's hand and dragging his candy bag.

See, I told you...McCutie!!

Riding in the wagon while we passed out candy.
He absolutely loves going for a riiiiide!

Before we had Boo, we used to showcase our jack-o-latterns at Halloween. We usually carve two. One for B-man and one for myself. Well, this year we just didn't get to it to all of that. We carved a Lil Boo for our lone pumpkin...this afternoon, just in the nick of time. Not too shabby!

Here are a couple of videos from the evening.

Practicing

A candy transaction.

Our Lil Boo has grown so much since last year when he was a Lil spider.

Okay, one more picture. I couldn't resist!

Landa Park and Pumpkin Patch

We had a great visit with Granny and Grandpa this week. Here are some highlights.

Holding Grandpa's hand at Landa Park in New Braunfels

Sittin' on a bench with Granny

We went to the Ford Family Farm pumpkin patch in Cibolo on Sunday afternoon. They had all kinds of activities for the little ones. In my desperate attempt to make it fall outside, I dressed us in jeans. My attempt failed. It was hot! :)
Lost in the hay bale maze.

" Okay, Dad. These are the pumpkins I want."

Gourd bowling with Dad.

Riding the wagon ride with Mom.

Lots of fun!

Trying to get the family photo. Can you tell we're hot?

Hayride!
We also went to Ft Sam Houston to see where Daddy works. I'll post pics of that trip later this week. It's really cool!
B-man also took Granny and Grandpa to the Riverwalk and the Alamo.

Thanks for coming to visit!

Visitors of the best variety!

Granny and Grandpa (B's parents) are here this week!
It's been so nice to have an extra pair of hands in the kitchen and eyes on Boo!

They even watched Boo last night so that B-man and I could go on a date. We've lived here for 6 months now and this is our first date night. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Pictures to come soon!

Firemen, the zoo, and a train ride!

Lil Boo has had a pretty good week if I do say so myself. It started on Wednesday during story time at the library. This week, the letter was "F". We walked in and there was the fire chief reading the stories this week. He did a great job with the little ones. Boo was much better behaved this time too! Thanks to my friend C and the librarian for taking some photos for us. I left my camera at home and was not too good with the camera on my phone.

Getting a frisbee from the chief.
Boo even said "koo" (his word for thank you) when I asked him too. That's a big step for us b/c he's usually too shy to use his words with strangers. This other little guy is our friend M. He's super cute too and I just love his hair!

We got to look at the firetruck after story time.

Mama and Boo!

He wanted to try on the hat, but became a little unsure when the fireman actually held it over his head.

Today, we met our friends C, M, and B at the zoo! It was THE PERFECT DAY for the zoo. Yesterday was H-O-T and miserable, but today was great. Cool and breezy! The animals thought it was pretty nice too. The kangaroos were jumping everywhere and the jaguars were wrestling each other. We even heard the lions roaring!! They were talking to each other.

Boo was a little hard to handle at first as he wanted to run everywhere! He also wanted to climb into each exhibit after I pointed the animals out to him. C let us borrow her kinder kords and they worked great!!! I might have to invest in a pair of those. After walking around for a while, he was content to ride in the stroller and eat a snack.

Chillin' with the lions at the zoo entrance.

Brushing the goats.
He was mostly interested in bringing me ALL of the brushes from the brush bucket. The goats didn't really interest him that much. But, a bucket full of brushes...who can resist that?? :)
Outside of the zoo, there's a train you can ride that goes through awesome Brackenridge Park. Boo was excited enough to get on the train and ride, but I think the train whistle and bells at the crossing guards were just a little too loud for him. He was looking increasingly concerned as we made our way down the track. Then, there was a tunnel! After we made it through the tunnel, where everyone screamed, he rested his head on my shoulder and wouldn't move the rest of the way. Poor buddy.
B, M, and Boo boarding the train!

Choo! Choo!

After the tunnel!
So, we've been busy with fun this week and it doesn't end here. We are planning to go to the Fall Festival at church tomorrow when Daddy comes home from his conference.
