Patience

I think I made it through the passing of our due date so well because I really thought I was going into labor sooner rather than later. But, now that it's the 28th, it's getting harder and harder to maintain my sunny disposition! :) I know our little guy will be here on Monday/Tuesday at the latest, but right now I feel as if Monday will never come. And although I wasn't very excited about the prospect of his birthday being Feb 29, a leap year baby is sounding better and better. The good news is that Lil Boo is still active and I feel him squirming around and B-man can hear the nice hum of a heartbeat when he listens very closely to my belly. So, I know our little guy is ok in there!

The other good news is that BeBe (my Mom) arrived in town today!! Yay for BeBe!! Maybe that's what G has been waiting for??!!

Now that BeBe is here and not in puppyville, this will be your last puppy update for a while. PawPaw (my Dad) isn't savvy when it comes to technology (although he did surprise us last year with his knowledge of ipods), so there won't be any new pics or videos of the pups til BeBe returns home. But, here is the latest...

Due Date!

It's the date we've been waiting for...Lil Boo's due date! And...he's still not here! We went to the doctor this morning and were encouraged by our progress this week. I'm at 2cm and he said my body is ready and that we're just "waiting for the switch to flip". That being said, if our Boo doesn't come this week, we're scheduled for an induction on Monday March 3. Of course, the doctor said he didn't know when G would come, but he felt like I would go into labor on my own before Monday, but no guarantees.

As the day slips away and our due date passes, I feel like we're in good spirits here in Fayetteville. We know we'll have our little guy by Tuesday of next week if not before.

Thanks for your prayers for a healthy baby and an EASY birth!! Keep them coming, please!

G-Boo is still snuggled in tight and doesn't seem to want to come out and play! So, we wait some more. And while we wait, we have puppies to keep us entertained.

They've moved out of the closet into the utility room and have taken up eating puppy chow twice/day. They've grown so much in 3 weeks. Fat little suckers. Here are a couple of recent photos.

Baby Steps

39 weeks!
Well, we're a week away from G's due date now and received some encouraging news from the doctor this morning. I'm still at 1 cm, but he commented on some things that are changing that have to occur before G-Boo can be delivered. We're happy with the report and the doc said I was right on track and that he wasn't concerned about anything. At the end of our visit he said, "Ok, we'll see ya next week if not before. And...try to be patient". Ahh, patience...not a virtue I wear well. But, I'm trying and really have no choice at this point! :)

So, we wait...

Still waiting...

I know, I know...I haven't done a good job of updating you all this week. I was hoping I'd finally have something to update you on. But, not much has changed since our last baby update. We went to the doctor on Monday and there weren't any changes to report and the week has been fairly uneventful as far as contractions go. That being said, last night I did have a lot of "tightening" in my lower abdomen, but it never progressed into much of anything. We're hoping that means it won't be long now though! We're ready to meet our little boy!!! We have another doctor's appointment on Monday so, I'll do better about keeping everyone informed, change or no change.

I'd like to say a Happy Anniversary to B-man! Our five year anniversary was yesterday. We watched our wedding video last night and commented on how perfect the day was, despite all of the changes we had to make because of B-man's impending deployment. Thanks to our friends and family who adjusted plans and made the day possible. As we watched the video, we smiled, laughed, and of course I cried. I just love watching it! I can't believe it was five years ago and now we're waiting on our son's arrival. B-man was even gracious enough to dance with me to our wedding song (as I wore my pink fluffy slippers and pajamas...what a difference 5 years makes-hehehe!). Thanks Hon!

Thanks to all for the compliments on G's room. We're very pleased with the final results. I apologize for being out of the "blog loop" this week. I have been sick but am feeling MUCH MUCH better this morning. I was going to post my 36 week (9mos) picture when I posted the video of Bella and her pups, but I had such a hard time getting the video to show up that by the time I got the video up and running, the picture was just too much for this patient Mom-to-be to handle! hehe! (Elena, that's where you caught me last week--mid posting). And then I was sick...blah, blah, blah.
Ok, enough excuses, here it is...

9 months prego! What a difference a couple of months (and a few doughnuts) make!

I'm also including some photos of the pups back home. I'm sad to report that the little runt of the litter didn't make it. All too common in the animal world. So, now there are 10. The pups and Mom had their first visit to the vet and they all are doing well. BeBe tells me how great Bella is at being a Mom...I hope I'm as good as she is at handling the pressures of motherhood! :)

Thanks to B-man for taking care of me yet again! Not only did he have a pregnant lady or a sick lady to take care of this week, but a pregnant and sick lady. What a trooper. Thanks Hon! Hope you all have a great weekend!
