My side of the family joined forces to go to the beach for a week! When I say joined forces, I'm not kidding! It took every adult there to watch our two babes! They were go, go, go all week long. They didn't seem to tire at all. It was fun and exhausting all at the same time. You know I have 100+ pictures, right?
You will be spared a few. I decided to do three posts. A joint post, if you will, a Boo post and a Bit post.
Thank you, thank, you, thank you to BeBe, PawPaw, Aunt R and Uncle D and Mama Love! I could NOT have done it alone nor would I have wanted to. Not too many grandmas can hang ten like BeBe did to teach their grandson how to boogie board. Lil Bit mostly requested (demanded) that I tend to her because there is no doubt that I am her BFF. So Aunt R and BeBe did the majority of the boogie boarding with Boo. I did have a chance to get out there some and in fact one of my most enjoyable times was when Aunt R took Bit back to the house and Boo and I spent some time just the two of us out in the water. What a sweetheart. He really took to it right away and had a blast.
Aunt R and I got away one night to enjoy some live music and to just talk. Sisters need to do that! She's always been such a champion of mine! She's the BEST!!
On the 4th of July we went out in PawPaw's boat. We rode along the intracoastal waterway. It was a beautiful. We saw lots of dolphins along the way. We were hoping to see the Salute from the Shore while we were out there. A group of F-16s was going to fly along the entire coast of SC (north to south) to salute the military and join the whole state in celebration. We decided to anchor off of a little beach to swim and wouldn't you know it, the F-16s flew right over our heads. I mean, we couldn't have been at a better spot! Right overhead. I don't have any pics of that day. Too busy holding babes on the boat. We also found a bunch of sand dollars while were anchored.
I also didn't have to cook supper or go grocery shopping while we were there!! Woohoo!!

| This picture does a great job of capturing the real story. Boo and Bit going in different directions and an adult (just happens to be me in this pic) grabbing hold of Bit so she didn't run off too far. |

PawPaw and Mama Love preparing shrimp for our seafood supper! Mama Love makes THE BEST fried shrimp! She dipped and prepared each and every shrimp individually! |

| They LOVED the outdoor shower. |

The name of our house was Slowpoke. It was an older house but was perfect for us! It had lots of beach charm.

Oh, one more thing. Do you remember when Aunt R and I went to paint canvases back in January? The subject that night was a palmetto tree and moon at night. Well, the moon was full while we were at the beach and I got this picture of the moon rising behind a palmetto tree. I'm not good at taking pics at night (blurry), but I think it does a good job of showing the real picture.
This week we are anxiously awaiting B-man's arrival for R&R! He has starting making the journey but hasn't made it far yet do to cancelled flights. We'll be soooo happy to see him when he does get here!
Don't forget to check out Boo and Bit's posts too!
