Kutting Crew

Well, it was time for Lil Boo to get another haircut and we thought we'd try going to the barber shop. I heard about this place down the street, Kutting Crew, that had an airplane chair for the little ones. So we made an appointment and off we went! We armed him with a toothbrush in one hand (he LOVES to hold his toothbrush) and food in the other. They also had a DVD player in front of him so he could watch a show. We got off to a rough start but ended on a good note. He even made a new friend with the stylist. But, he just wouldn't stay still. S0, upon closer inspection today, I see that his haircut is really crooked in the back and the front. Oh well...it will grow.

Isn't that airplane chair just the coolest? Unfortunately, the seat doesn't have a strap. So, we had to keep a close hand on him so he wouldn't jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Valentine's Day and Anniversary

Boo celebrated his first Valentine's Day yesterday. He was such a good Valentine and was rewarded with a huge heart shaped cookie!! Yummy! He also got a Valentine bear for being so sweet. B-man and Boo Bear are the best Valentines a girl could have!! I'm so lucky!

Yesterday was V-Day and today is our wedding anniversary! It's been six years now! Can you believe that? B, you're a great man, an awesome husband and a wonderful father to Lil Boo. I just love watching you and him play together. Thanks for everything you do (read...putting up with me) for our family! I love you!

First Steps

You know the saying, or is it a song?...you can't keep a good man down? Well, Boo might have have been down with croup (he's doing much much better by the way) but, he didn't let that stop him from reaching his motor milestones! He took his first steps on Monday and B-man and I were both there to witness the wonderful feat! It's taken a couple of days for us to get it on video. Look out world, here he comes!

Aquarium Fun

We had a nice visit to the Tulsa Aquarium this week. I'm not sure who had more fun, Boo or B-man and myself. I got to touch a stingray and B-man enjoyed guessing what each fish was before looking at the plaque with the name and description on it. And, he was right most of the time!

Happy Birthday Granny!! We hope you have a GREAT day! Wish you could join us today. We're headed to Tulsa to the aquarium.

11 Months!

Our Lil Boo is ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!! I can't believe it. And let me just say, it's getting harder and harder to get his picture like this! He's so active now. It took 20 takes before getting a good one. I wonder if we'll ever get the 1 year photo!

As we near our Boo's 1st b-day I'm so reflective about this past year. We've all grown so much! I'm trying to savor every bit of baby he has left to give us, such as the sweet sounds he makes while eating his bottle, while at the same time marveling at how much he learns everyday as he gets older. He's the best and we just love him more and more everyday. I mean look at those cheeks and thighs. I want to eat him up sometimes.

Good news on the sippy cup front...he FINALLY drank from one!! 2 ounces yesterday and 3 ounces today! Woo Hoo! I've been trying for MONTHS to get him to drink from one and so
B-man tries it out and, bam! he drinks from it! What's up with that?
