SNAKE FARM

Boo and I joined a fellow Moms clubber at the Snake Farm yesterday. Here are some photos.
Oh yeah, this place was featured on Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.

My Nemesis...

POLLEN!

I'm so torn about Spring. I love that it's getting warmer outside and that the sun is shining and that the days are longer, but I just can't deal with my seasonal allergies. My eyes are really taking a beating this year.

It stinks that today I told B-man this morning, "I don't really want to go outside today..." What? Are you kidding? It's beautiful out!! I couldn't believe what I was saying.

I'm trying all kinds of alternatives such as the netti pot and eye washes, but am still on the losing end of this battle. I'm even considering getting huge geriatric sunglasses to act a a physical barrier to the allergens....oh my!

And, so yes, I'm just complaining, but hey...it's my blog, I can do a little complaining, right?

Hope your nose isn't runny where you are!

More Photos from our SC Trip

I realized the other day that I didn't finish posting photos from our trip to SC. Once we got back to Texas, I was in birthday mode. So, here are some more pics.

Week in Review

Monday: cleaned house and went to the grocery store

Tuesday: Karaoke fun with the Moms Club. Lil Boo loved standing there listening to the music, but he was too shy to sing. We also rode the train at the zoo that afternoon. We were going to a dinosaur exhibit at the museum but the line was crazy b/c of Spring Break! There were 100+ people in line, so Boo and I drove on by and went to the zoo to ride the train. He kept saying, "I ride train" over and and over again.

Wednesday: St Patrick's Day. We made this shamrock at the library.

Thursday: Playgroup at the park

Friday: Gymnastics!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Juicy Tidbits

Just a couple of things today, but they're good...juicy, if you will!

I enjoyed a Moms Night Out a couple of weeks ago with some gals from the Moms Club. We went to one of those paint your own pottery places. We had so much fun! Usually, I never know what to paint at those places and spend half of my time trying to decide. But, this time I had a plan. I wanted to paint some Clemson wine glasses. So, I printed out a paw from the internet and was ready to go. They turned out so good and thus, are my latest masterpieces! On the inside bottom, I painted '98 on B-man's and '00 on mine to represent our years of graduation.

So, here they are, front and back!
Aren't they cute?

My other juicy tidbit is this video of Boo! When we ask him to say, "I love you!", he always says, "oooooo". But, now we're trying to break it down. If we start of with the "I", he follows up with the whole phrase.

This melts my heart so much!!!
After the "I love you" he's saying "again, please".
It was bedtime and that's why B-man says, "last time..."

Happy Tuesday to you!

From Winter to Summer In a Flash

I think it's safe to say that we've officially entered the warm season here in Texas. Today was beautiful! Sunny and nearly 80 degrees. Just this past weekend it was chilly and rainy. I said "summer" in the title because, who I am kidding, I don't think there's going to be much of a Spring around here.

Someone is happy to be outsiiiide!

I took Grady for his 2 year checkup yesterday and he did soooo good. He hopped on the scale to be weighed and stood like a big boy to get his height checked. He even talked and interacted with our provider. I couldn't believe it. He has definitely grown so much since the 18 month checkup.

He weighs 32 lbs and is 35 1/4 inches tall and is doing GREAT!!
You know, except for the fact that he threw a soup can onto the floor from the buggy this morning at Wal-mart and it busted open spraying soup everywhere....

Birthday Party

We had Boo's birthday party at a great little indoor play place called the Play Station. We've been there before for several birthdays and play dates, so he recognized where we were as soon as we pulled into the parking spot. He had a BLAST!!!! I think it was the perfect little party for our Lil Boo!

I think it turned out really cute, if I do say so myself.

I Cannot Believe

That my baby is TWO!! And, let's be for real, he's not a baby anymore! I know this because he is way too busy to just sit in my lap and let me hold him. In fact, yesterday I was asking (er, begging) him, "Can I hold you? Can I hold you?" And he would just say, "no, no". He's just too busy for that baby stuff! Sigh.

I also know he's becoming a big boy because his vocabulary is exploding and he's finally putting two and on occasion three words together! Way to go Boo!!

He's grown so much this past year! We thought he was a big boy at 1! Now, look at him.

My love for him grows everyday. He's just the cutest thing and is super sweet...most of the time. He can be trifling too! In fact on our plane ride back from SC, I expanded on his Boo nicknames and now have included Grizzly Boo as one of my options to choose from.

But, today he's being super sweet. B-man and I went into his room and sang Happy Birthday to him and he was just sitting in his bed with a smile from ear to ear! We had pancakes for breakfast and have already talked to BeBe and PawPaw this morning.

Today, we're going to help put together some care packages for soldiers in Iraq with the Mom's Club and hope to celebrate out to supper with Daddy tonight at Peter Pizza (think Chuck E Cheese). His party will be with his playgroup buddies on Thursday.

My heart is bursting today with love for him and I have tears in my eyes as I look back over these pictures of the past two years. Man, it all goes by so fast! B-man and I were talking last night about how much he's grown and how we feel like we can remember every minute of it all.

When we were at the rodeo last month, a friend of mine jokingly asked me if I was going to get an airbrush t-shirt. We were eating lunch right across from a booth that was selling them. I jokingly replied, "Yes, I'm going to get one with a big heart that says, Grady and Mommy forever." Looking back, I wish that I had! And oh yes, I would wear it and wear it proud!
