Boo's Top Ten

Boo has become quite talkative lately and he's cracking me up and melting my heart with some of the things he's saying. Here's a top ten list of what he's said recently.

10. "Mama, G is a boy and M is a grill."

  9. After coming back from going potty: "Mama, will you clean the wall?" Hmmm....can you guess what happened here?

  8. Me: G, are you mama's boy?
      Boo:  No, I'm mama's helpah!

  7. Bit was screaming in the car the other day and Boo was saying that he didn't want Bit to cry anymore. I told him that she couldn't help it b/c she was a baby. About 10 minutes later she just stopped crying and Boo said, "Mama, M helped it!" (soooo cute!).

6. "Mama, M's a pretty baby!"

5. After I went potty, he sang to me "Good job Mama, way to go Mama, good job mama, you're doing so good," which is what I sometimes sing to him after he goes potty.

4. "Which one we going today?" He says this every morning when he wakes up. He wants to know where we're going everyday.

3. "Jesus lives in heaven with his Dada."

2. B-man: G, who gives the best hugs?
    Boo: MAMA AND DADA!!!!

And the number ONE thing Boo has said recently came after we talked about how Jesus couldn't really come over to play b/c he lives in heaven with God (see number 3 above). I told him that Jesus can live in your heart, too. I told him that he could ask Jesus to come into his heart and help him make good choices. I felt like the whole thing probably went right over his head. But, three days later while we were riding in the car this is what he said...

1. Boo: I want to ask...
Me: What do you want to ask?
Boo: I want to ask Jesus...
Me: What do you want to ask Jesus?
Boo: To help make good choices!!

What else is there to say after that?

5 Months

Our Lil Bit is FIVE months old!! It's so hard to believe that it has been five months since she arrived! She's just a sweetheart. She's very social. I have to leave the room to feed her most times, because she's so easily distracted. She always has to check out what's going on around her. Here are her 5 month pics.

She needs a V8.

She has a tooth!

The church we've been going to here in San Antonio was so sweet and gave Lil Bit this super soft blanket.
It's embroidered in the corner with "Jesus Loves You, Northern Hills Church".
They also gave her a bag tag for her church bag for when we deicde to leave her in the nursery.
B-man usually takes her out of the service if she gets fussy. The ladies who run the nursery always see him walking her around and tell him they're ready to take her whenever we're ready. Maybe this week...maybe.
Thanks G&G for the onesie. Not many people can pull of that yellow, but it looks so good on Lil Bit.

This is a picture of Bit's video monitor screen.
She likes to sleep on her tummy and like this...on her side with her head way back like this. It's so cute.

We know when we see her like this, she's in for a LONG sleep! :)

Oh wait, she has TWO TEETH!
They're coming in two by two!
You can barely see the one on the right. But it's there-just popped through today.

She had her first rice cereal today!! She was so ready too. This past week she's really been eyeing us eat. Lol.
I'm really hoping it helps her sleep through the night, too.

Another Multimedia Weekend Review

We're so busy these days playing and getting ready for the big move (end of May/beginning of June). I'm finding it harder and harder to get on the blog to post all of the pics I've been taking. So, without a lot of explanation...here's what we've been up to lately.
Boo sharing Sheepy, Sandy, and Ya-ya with Bit (melt my heart).

Bit is really enjoying tubby time now.
She loves to splash!

Dyeing Easter Eggs...

...

Bit supervised :)

B-man grilled up some ribs.
They were DELICIOUS!

Boo blew bubbles.

Bit worked outside (in one of Boo's old hats).

The Easter Bunny came!

We dressed in our Easter duds...

...and our Easter dresses and went to church to celebrate our Risen Lord!
I woke up in the morning with the hymn, "Up From the Grave He Arose" running through my head. It makes me teary-eyed every time I hear it.

Poor baby...I never feed her.
She has to eat her dress. ;)

I tried to take a video of Boo coming down the stairs seeing his Easter basket for the frist time. But, I screwed up big time with the camera. I had it turned on when I thought it was off and vice versa. So, I have some nice video of  the floor, if you'd like to see that. I did however, get the hunt. He had a great time.

Oh my Goodness! It has taken about 4 hours to finish this post! Bit is having a terrible day and so often Boo gets green when Bit needs more attention.

On a sweeter note, Boo keeps asking for the Easter Bunny and Jesus to come to his house. In fact, he just heard a truck driving outside and came running over to me saying, "Mama, Jesus is here!" I love that Lil Boo!

Check back tomorrow (evening probably) to see about Bit's big day.

Weekend Review

We went to our Mom's Club Egg Hunt on Friday.

As Boo would say, "Our dirt is growing!"

Bit is working on prop sitting.

Boo participated in the palm procession today at church for Palm Sunday.
It went a LOT better than the Christmas program at school.
This time when he saw me, he started smiling (instead of crying).

I came across this 'prayer' by actress/comedienne Tina Fey on Facebook this weekend. I couldn't help but laugh as I read it and by the end, I was crying. So, I thought I'd share some of it with you (I'm only sharing the parts that resonated with me. Some of it was a bit much...and I'll just leave it at that).

Tina Fey's Prayer for Daughters
First, Lord: No tattoos. May neither Chinese symbol for truth nor Winnie-the-Pooh holding the FSU logo stain her tender haunches...

When the Crystal Meth is offered, May she remember the parents who cut her grapes in half And stick with Beer.
Guide her, protect her when crossing the street, stepping onto boats, swimming in the ocean, swimming in pools, walking near pools, standing on the subway platform, crossing 86th Street, stepping off of boats, using mall restrooms, getting on and off escalators, driving on country roads while arguing, leaning on large windows, walking in parking lots, riding Ferris wheels, roller-coasters, log flumes, or anything called “Hell Drop,” “Tower of Torture,” or “The Death Spiral Rock ‘N Zero G Roll featuring Aerosmith,” and standing on any kind of balcony ever, anywhere, at any age...

And when she one day turns on me and calls me a $@#* in front of Hollister, Give me the strength, Lord, to yank her directly into a cab in front of her friends, For I will not have that. I will not have it.
And should she choose to be a Mother one day, be my eyes, Lord, that I may see her, lying on a blanket on the floor at 4:50 A.M., all-at-once exhausted, bored, and in love with the little creature whose poop is leaking up its back.

“My mother did this for me once,” she will realize as she cleans feces off her baby’s neck. “My mother did this for me.” And the delayed gratitude will wash over her as it does each generation and she will make a Mental Note to call me. And she will forget. But I’ll know, because I peeped it with Your God eyes.
