One More Day

Our flight back to TX was cancelled yesterday, so we had one more afternoon to play. It was sunny and 68 degrees! Perfect for playing trucks under the oak tree.

SNOW DAY!!!

It's a very rare occasion to see the magical white stuff here in SC and it's even rarer to get enough to have this much fun...
We got six inches of snow!!!!!!

One of the trees that lines the lane.

Pine trees in front yard.

Our sled is an old car hood that we used as a sled some 20+ years ago when it snowed like this. PawPaw unearthed it yesterday from it's hibernation. It was perfect for me and Boo.
Boo is mad in this picture because he thinks he's not getting to "ride" because we're not on the 4 wheeler that we're hooked up to. But, once we started moving, he LOVED IT!!
It was so awesome to share with Boo something I did as a child. GREAT THANKS to PawPaw for pulling us around!

This is the most fun!

"Yeeeee Haaaawwww!"

BeBe even took a turn!

The snow was perfect for building a snowman!

Our sweet Boo!
Going to get branches for the arms.

The finishing touches...carrot teeth!

Mr. B came by to visit and we asked him to take a family photo. He took about 8 pics like this...with all of our heads cut off except for Boo's! It was so funny! Don't think he'll be taking any jobs as a photographer anytime soon!

We finally got him to get our heads in the shot...well all of ours except Bella's.

Boo would stand there by PawPaw all day!

This is how we do it down south!

Snowman building 101!

We had a great day of snowy fun. It's pretty much gone now. It was melting fast once the sun came out today. We're sad that B-man and the rest of our family (Aunt R and D and Granny & company) couldn't be here with us though. We know you all would have had just as much fun as we did. We love you and miss you!

Let's Rodeo San Antonio!!!

So, the rodeo is in town right now and they've been advertising for a while now with the slogan, "Let's rodeo San Antonio!" and I just can't stop saying it!! "Let's rodeo San Antonio...Let's rodeo San Antonio..."

I'm so glad that we were able to go before our trip to SC. Boo and I went with some of our great friends in the Mom's Club for "dollar days" on Friday. The rides were only a dollar each, so it was a great deal. Boo had so much fun!! Here are some pics.

"Chicks, chicks, chicks, ...."

"Oink, oink (or honk, honk as Boo says)"

He doesn't have cowboy boots, so we went with the black rubber variety.
His knees are dirty b/c he was acting like a cow going down the front steps of the house before we left saying "moo" and crawling on his hands and knees.

"Hi!"

Posing for a picture with Mama!

His first pony ride!! He LOVED it!! I think it was his favorite thing.
He was so upset that he couldn't ride over and over again!
It was $6 a ride, so he only did it once.

He loved the rides too!
On Saturday night, B-man and I went to the rodeo and Tim McGraw concert. Our anniversary is coming up and since I'll be in SC, we celebrated last night Texas style!!
It was a lot of fun and thanks to our babysitting co-op, we didn't have to pay for a babysitter. Woo hoo!

This is how they got the stage out on the ground for the concert...4 tractors!
Boo would have been in heaven.

Concert!
Thanks for a great night at the rodeo Honey! Love you!!
Boo and I head out tomorrow to SC. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back home.

Rainy Day Activities

We're making up for the super dry summer we had last year with all of this rain we've been getting recently. It's hard to find fun stuff to do when you're stuck inside all day. So, here's what we've been up to...

Last Friday we went to Bisque Bistro in New Braunfels. It's a paint your own pottery place. On Fridays, they host Mini Monets. They read a story and you paint a piece of pottery or make a mosaic like on this day. He did SOOOO good. He loved putting the gems on the heart. He did finally get bored, but I was very pleased with his participation. Once he was "done" with the project, he played with his two little buddies with the toys in the children's corner provided by the shop....brilliant!

And yesterday, it poured ALL day long! We started out at the gym and then went to the library for story time. We stayed afterwards to play with all of the puzzles and the moms got to chat a bit. After nap time, we worked on another art project. We made some really cute and simple Valentine's Day cards to deliver in SC next week.
"I'm READY to start!!! "

This is a preview. They're not complete in this photo.
He was sooo mad when we were done with the project.
I think he wanted to paint the house!

Today, we're going to baby playgroup and we absolutely must go to the grocery store!
We also want to wish Granny a Happy Birthday today!!!

Yay Baby C

One of my dearest and oldest friends gave birth to her daughter at 33/34 weeks Jan 17. After a bout of jaundice, baby C is doing well and is gaining weight. Up to 5 lbs now!!

And we're super happy to report that she went home TODAY!!! Ya Baby C!

Now baby C, since we're going to be in SC soon, Lil Boo wants to know if you will be his Valentine this year. What do you think?

Tidbits

Just sharing some tidbits about our Boo! He's so well rounded! :)

Being super sweet to Bear and Sheep.
He's giving Bear his papeyer and ya-ya.
His sweetness just melts my heart!

Rough and Tumble.
He got this huge goose egg and bruise at the playground.
He cried hard and then got right back up so he could push wood chips down the slide...
his new favorite thing to do at the park.

At Artworks painting Freddy the fish.
He was so proud of his work and loved running over to his cubby to put each project in it so that it could dry. And I just loved watching him get so excited!

Reading books with Daddy.

Tractor boy!
He loves a tractor!
PawPaw, get ready!

He's a dancing machine!
Actually, he's starting to get shy about his dancing.
This was a rare moment caught on tape.
Other tidbits....
He loves rocks and almost always picks one up out of the flower garden and either carries it with him to the car or throws it in one particular shrub at the bottom of our steps. Which explains two things...a). why I have random rocks all over my car and b.)why B-man was wondering, "why are all of those rocks in that shrub...?"
He absolutely knows the colors ORANGE and PURPLE and not because we forced those on him...his blood really does run orange. He's a tiger for sure!

He absolutely knows the letter "Y" and I have no idea why.

And his shape of choice is a STAR, but I think most of you already knew that.
Oh yeah... when he's not being so sweet, he's being devilish by getting out of his time out chair thinking it's hilarious!! Oh boy!

He's almost TWO and we can't believe it. I want to freeze him right here and now! I want him to always be his Mama's boy and never be a mean teenager! :)
