Our Little Fish

Boo and I have been taking swim lessons this week and last. And we're happy to report that he L-O-V-E-S the water! We went to the pool with B-man on Saturday to show off what we've learned so far.

Going under!

Jumping off the side.
He won't stand up to do it, but I'm just happy that he's excited about getting in the water.
I hope he's this way next year too.

Catching a ride on Daddy's back.
He was really interested in B's wet hair.

Video Jackpot

I was trying to take some photos of Boo so that BeBe could print them and take them to a family reunion on Saturday. I had a hard time getting some photos, but he did ALL of his tricks. I've been trying to get these moments of video for a while now, but today, I hit the jackpot!

He can make the horse sound...

And he did the cow sound for the first time on this recording. He does it over by the door, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to hear it. And, it's more of a "Mmmmm" than a moo. But, it's definitely different than the horse sound.

The other day, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was playing on our CD player and he ran over to this star on the wall and started pointing at it! I was amazed! We've never pointed to that star before. He does have a star in his shape sorter, though. So, I guess that's where he learned it from. So cool to watch his mind working!

WARNING: This video contains material of a little boy putting his finger up his nose! If you'd rather keep the image of a sweet sweet baby boy in your head...don't watch!! :)
But, it's guaranteed to make you laugh! hahahahahaha! :)

More Military Musings

This time, it's about health care.

So, I call to make an appointment with my primary care provider...

Operator: "hmm, let's see...you've been assigned to XYZ AFB. They do everything different there..."

Me: awkward silence...

Operator: "Okay, looks like you're with Dr. So and So....and she's on the red team. They have a red team and a blue team there..."

Me: (thinking to myself) "What??? The red team? I've never heard of such a thing."

Operator: "Okay, let's look at her schedule....hmm, it says there are no appointments available. She must be on TDY. They do that a lot at XYZ Air Force Base. Let's try someone from the blue team...

Me: sheepishly "okay?"

And it went on from there. After it was all said and done, there was no appointment made. You can't take your child to the clinic, so we have to get Boo enrolled in childcare on post, which has been an experience all on it's own. Maybe I'll give you a little snippet of that one tomorrow.

But seriously...a red and blue team??? My primary care doctor is on TDY???
Ahh, gotta love it! :)
