The Moments I Love

Boo's bedtime routine consists of a bath, bottle, stories, a few songs and off to bed.

Last night when I was singing to Boo, he snuggled up in my arms and rested his head on my chest. He was looking up into my eyes and melting my heart. When I would finish a song, he would say "aaah" which means, "Sing another song Mommy". I just kept singing, looking into those beautiful blue eyes, loving snuggling with my little guy. He doesn't like to snuggle all of the time so these moments are precious and are the moments I just LOVE!

We're Connected!

Thanks to the guys at Time Warner, we're up and running in the technology department!
Internet...check!
TV...check!
DVR...check! check!

Yay!!!

We're still trying to get settled.
I must admit that sometimes, er, a lot of the time, it seems like we're following the one step forward and two step back program. With multiple stairway gates tried and returned to the store, bathroom rugs that don't fit, and trouble getting our phone to work, it seems like we will never get it all done. At least not as fast as we had hoped. But, hey, I'm grateful that we have a bathroom and a rug, even if it doesn't fit! I know that a bathroom is a luxury right now to many people in our country and around the world. So, I'm trying not to get lost in the little things, but it is so hard sometimes especially when a little thing gone right can be so uplifting.

To make matters even more *un-fun*, I know that's not a word..., Boo had a pretty rough day today. He cried and cried most of the afternoon. I don't know what the problem was. Another tooth maybe? Man, every one has come in like a bear for him. Speaking of teeth. The molar that had been rearing it's ugly head this past month is finally through bringing the tooth count up to NINE!

Well, that's all for now. I know I don't sound very cheery tonight. It's just been a long day.

I think I'll go to sleep now! See you all tomorrow.

We;re alive...just not connected!

Hello All!
I'm writing this from the coffee shop/bakery down the road from our house. We've moved in to our new home, but our Internet is not connected yet. It should be up and running on Tuesday!

We're well on our way to getting the house unpacked. B-man was awesome, as usual, and unpacked Boo's room and most of our bedroom while Boo and I stayed our final night in the hotel on Tuesday. It was so nice to arrive on Wednesday to our bed and G's crib ready and waiting on us! Thanks so much Honey!

I've read your blogs, but because I'm stealing these few moments away, I don't have time to comment right now. Looks like you're all doing well! I'm looking forward to being back in touch on a daily basis. I miss you all!

Talk to you soon!

We Made It!

Well, we made it to Texas!

We arrived yesterday afternoon. Boo has done exceptionally well considering his world has turned upside down and every time he goes to sleep, he's in a new place. Poor buddy.
He did really well in the car, for the most part, and charmed people all along the way!

He was really starting to get restless yesterday with about an hour left to go to San Antonio and I knew I just had to get him out of the car. I pulled off at the next exit to find every boy's paradise....Cabella's! He loved walking around the HUGE store and especially enjoyed playing in the tents they had set up for display. They also have a mini aquarium, and he loved looking at the fish. It was the perfect place to stop! Thank you Cabella's.

Sandy, however, didn't handle the transition as smoothly. Poor girl had an upset stomach in the car and hotel room. Oh brother. She's feeling much better now.

We went by our house and it looks great! I think we'll really enjoy the swings across the street and the awesome back porch! Great job B-man! We should get the keys tomorrow. Not a moment too soon.

Today we went to the Riverwalk and saw the Alamo. I have pics, but I can't get them on the computer right now.

It definitely hasn't been a traditional Easter weekend for us. Boo "hunted" eggs in the hotel room! But hey, the Easter bunny made it this year and that is progress. Last year Boo was only a couple of weeks old and we were clearly still in survival mode.

Well, I suppose I'll close for now. We'll be in touch soon.

Moving Week!

The packers are coming this morning! They'll be here today and tomorrow. Then, they'll load the truck on Thursday and we're out of here on Friday.

You probably won't hear from us for several days. Prayers for travel mercies are appreciated!
