Sunrise was at 4:20 a.m. and sunset will be at 11:42 p.m.
That's 19 hours and 22 minutes of daylight! But really, even though the sun does officially set, it's light out all of the time.
There are all kind of Summer Solstice Parties planned for tonight in Alaska. Kind of neat. But, I'm hoping we're all asleep by then...well, at least 2 of the 4 of us anyway! ha!

Your Granddaddy always made sure we were aware of the Summer and Winter Solstices by letting us know that the days would either be getting shorter or longer. He would be the first to tell you, that now, the days would be getting shorter. So glad that you are following in Granddaddy's footsteps. Party down tonight or should I say today??

Following in your footsteps too BeBe. You always tell us the same thing about the days getting shorter and longer! Love you! Thanks for celebrating Sandy's birthday!
