The star of this week's edition of Funny Friday is none other than yours truly. Whew, TGIF!!
Wednesday night, I apparently put Boo to bed in underoos instead of a pullup. Neither he nor I caught my mistake before it was too late. Like, 11 hours too late. He woke up on Thursday morning and his jammers were soaked! I repeat, soaked.
He came into my room and I noticed he was kind of walking like a mummy might walk but didn't think a whole lot about it, I mean his is a 4 year old boy and walking like a mummy could be normal. Ha.
And then he said, "Mama, my jammers are wet." Okay, no biggie, sometimes he has a little leak. But, I reached out to touch his arm and that's when I noticed, his arm was soaking wet. And that's when I realized I put him to bed in underoos. Poor buddy!!! He slept all night like that!
And then later on Thursday morning, Bit and I walked Boo to his classroom at school. On our way back to the car, I was letting her hold my keys (I know, not the best idea). When I was putting her in her car seat, I took them from her and tossed
them in the front seat so I could buckle her. So, I buckled her up, closed the door and was on my way to my side of the car. And when I got there, the doors were locked. She must have locked the car when she was
holding the keys. So, she was locked in the car with the keys and my phone.Thankfully, it was only 60 degrees Thursday morning and cloudy and rainy. So it was nice
and cool and so I knew she was physically going to be okay. I tried to call BeBe (she has the spare key) but her line was busy. I called Aunt R and she didn’t answer. Although, I’m not sure what she was going to do,
she doesn’t have a key. So we called the police and fire department. I was doing okay. I was slightly panicky, I think out of embarrassment, and then when the fire truck rounded the corner, I lost it and started crying. I think seeing the fire truck was just the last straw for everything I had been holding on to inside. I was able to get
in touch with BeBe but the fire dept was able to unlock the door before she could get there. The police officers and firemen were awesome and helped me to feel at ease as did the director of Boo's school. She was so calming. The police officers said this happens ALL of the time and we were all thankful that it wasn't in the middle of the summer when it happened to us. Maggie was fine. I was a wreck.
We were going to the grocery store,
but instead, I decided to just come home!!!
What else can you do but laugh? And be thankful, of course, that Bit was alright.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

You are not alone!! On either front! Brendan Jr. got locked in the car TWICE when we were in Texas...luckily, it was in our garage, but still, VERY scary! If you have AAA, they will come to your rescue too! ;-) You've got to smile (and of course, blog about it!) or else we would be in tears far too often! ;-) Hang in there!
Ahhh! We all have moments like those. Glad all turned out well and everyone is safe and sound.
I am surprised that this has not happened before now. I know that if it were me, I would have had to call Bebe at least 10 times already! There was a time that I was locking myself out of the house once a week!!! I guess I am trying to say, things like this happen to the best of us, and laughing til you cry is the only thing you can do about it! Love you!
