| We got Gold Star seats and were in one of these amazing dome cars. The windows extended up over our heads. It was great! |
| Bit was ready to ride too! Thanks to the end of summer and school starting, we had lots of room to spread out on the train. |

| We then took the bus over to Mr. Bill Cotter's place so that we could meet him and his Iditarod dogs. |

We took a motor coach bus back to Anchorage...it was a lot quicker than the train. Only five hours. It was a fun ride. We had some nice people around us who didn't mind the children. Whew!

Really, we couldn't have asked for better weather and we really did have a good time. And truth be told, we had several people along the way tell me how well behaved the children were. It sure didn't feel that way, though! Lol! But, I'll just focus on the positive...

I'm with you on the 3yo front. J is really starting to exert his will, but thankfully, he's not throwing anything at me I haven't seen before. Stick to your guns. In our house, it's my way or the highway and they can choose whether or not they're going to go along with it--which means choosing whether or not they're going to be happy with the decisions mama makes!!! I figure its easier to make a stand like that now than years down the road!!
You're doing an awesome job. The first is always the hardest because you're learning right along with him. Trust me, Bit will be easier merely bc you'll be more confident in your *wonderful* mothering!

What an incredible adventure!? Great planning, Mama! Looks like it was in God's plan too...what an amazing train ride!? Tops Thomas any day! :). And, love the pelts! My grandma had a fox stole that my mom and her cousin thought it would be great to give it a haircut! So, your pics brought back memories of that story for me. :) keep up the good work! I know it can feel like we are failing (a parents' constant worry) but we're doing the best we can and in the end, we'll reap the rewards! :)

Awesome trip! It looks like everyone had a great time. I am so glad that Bebe got to go and share that experience with you all. I can't believe how much they have changed since I've been gone! Thanks for the great post. I can't wait to see you!
